“If you like your science fiction with a side of clever, droll, understated humor, you’re in luck. Whether it’s a plague - can one big one be a plague? - of alien vermin bent on alien conquest, or an interesting new take on a certain legendary piper, or a fancy new contraption that bypasses the laws of physics, you can’t go wrong with Meehan’s smart, sassy COMETARY TALES. I love it!” ~ K. G. McAbee, author of RUBY MOONS AND ALABASTER STARS and DARKNESS BECKONS
"Children of all ages will be delighted with this collection of charming children's poems. Allen Johnson's whimsical illustrations bring these humorous poems to life. This collection of witty poetry is sure to be wonderful addition to any child's library."

"Your dad would be proud. You captured our lives the way it really happened. I don't know how you did it, except that you grew up with a good father, my best friend. He was one of a kind and I miss him. Anyone that enjoys hunting, fishing, and the outdoors will love this book. It is a unique 'coming of age' tale, about a boy learning what it takes to be a man."

Featuring Richard C. Meehan, Jr.
I love to write - always have. Some of my stories are completely true, while others are totally not. That's the way of non-fiction and fiction. As with all writers that keep plugging at the craft, my work has been published here and there over a large number of years. I've authored opinion columns, short stories, s.f., children's poems, personal experience, Christian literature, and other speculative pieces.
Writing is fun. Writing is hard work. Writing is a hobby. Writing is a waste of time. Writing won't make you rich. Perhaps writing is all of the above and more. Maybe writing is none of the above. Who cares? I feel rich every time someone reads my work. When I complete another project, I feel even richer. I am enriched by the simple act of word-crafting. Thanks for visiting!
